This advert has more of a stronger meaning towards people this advert isnt for someone to be entertained its to make people aware of the risks of driving a car and crossing the road.
i want my advert to have a strong meaing within it but at the same time easily understandable, my target audience for this advert would be for all ages as it relates to everyone.

Pros.
The pros for this video are that i dont have to get footage of a car hitting someone at speed as this would not be suitble there are many different ways to do it as this advert below shows.

This is a collection of some of the Tango adverts this is one of the reasons why i want to do a tango advert as these adverts are completely random which gives the viewer entertainment and cn also be a talking point of somebodies day speaking abot how random the adverts are that tango produce

Ideas for advertisment.

My first idea for my 30 second advertisment i want to do a tango advert as i think the tango adverts are good and creative, so i will use my imagination during this advert. i wanted to do something different as ive previously seen loads of coca cola advert been made.

My second idea would be a mcdonalds advert as i was watchin television and it gave me an idea of how to do the advert to make it look good and i think this would be a successful advert.

Risk Assesment

A risk assesment was not needed for my production as it was in an open space and where no risk within the building that would possible stop me from filming.

I recorded lauren today, i got more footage than i actually used within my short documentary i got footage of lauren singing & also playing the piano, the extra footage that i had was lauren dancing but i decided not to put this in as i wanted to keep the documentary on the same genre 'Music'.

I finished filming my documentary and have also finshed editing in the same day, i am happy with my outcome as it all came to plan, i set myself a deadline for when i wanted to film and edit all my footage and this worked as the project was handed in before the official deadline

What is it about?
My documentary is about a local music artist who is a singer/songwriter from derby, it will show you clips of her showing of her talents and also broken down interviews with Lauren

Shooting Days:
To film my documentary it would only take around an hour as its not going to be a full featured documentary its only a short 3 minute video

The film I have chosen is Kidulthood; Kidulthood is a British film that was release in the year 2006. It was written by Noel Clarke and directed by Menhaj Huda who originally started of making Bangladeshi films. It’s a film where we follow 3 teenage boys and all of there are different and all have there own mini storys that string of the main story this is a good way to set out a drama as its more entertaining

The genre of the film kidulthood is a Drama/comedy but has slight anti social behavior, violence, sexual content & drug scenes within the film, the reason why this is a drama is because we follow the life of Trife (played by actor Aml Ameen) and his friends Mooney (played by actor Femi Oyeniran) & Jay (played by actor Adam Deacon) this film is also a comedy as it also has a funny side to it but keeps on track of a serious storyline

The iconography and conventions in this film are good as it shows real emotion behind the storyline. This film has one main story so its easy to understand that it’s a drama because of the way the film is set out, as it starts of not letting out to much information but the more u go into the film you start to understand it more and the reasons why there doing the things there doing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bZa2efcNqk&feature=related this is a scene from the 2006 film kidulthood, this is one of my favorite scenes because of the way its shot from the time 0:00 – 0:06 the camera has focused on a mother and child trough a mirror as Trife has a baby on the way but isn’t with his baby mother, it the focuses back out on to trife and show  mid shot of his emotions this is shot differently because normally films will do a close up shot of the face to show the emotions within the character, the lighting within this shot is well lit as you are able to see everything that’s going on within the shot of the film, the light is continuous and is the same shade throughout the whole scene. The scene desnt really have an awful lot of shots its kept basic and simple as there is no need for them to have loads of different shots within this scene

His film is non linear as it has flashbacks throughout the film this is a good way for a drama film as you get to find out what’s happened before and what the movie will not show in full detail it gives you the idea to how there life’s are, at the end of the film when trife is dying after being hit with a baseball bat in his stomach hi whole life flashes in front of him, all of the footage that he’s in within the film.

Overall this is one of my personal favorite and think that this is one of the best dram films to come out of the United Kingdom

Reflective Writing Practice

This situation can occur on a regular basis, the things that i will learn from this is if i know the people are going to be late make sure i have set up my set properly and test out everything so that the footage is usable so i wouldn't have to leave it to the last minute to think about it. I should book the studio for an hour extra than the time i need so that everything can get finalized.

My Final Version ( A Day With Lauren Faith )

This is my final version of my short documentary.
The documentary is entitled ' A Day With Lauren Faith' simply because i spent the day with up and coming singer/songwriter Lauren Faith.

In this video you will see a series of clips starting with a short introduction followed by interview and also achieve footage of Lauren's 'Talent'.

Editing

I have filmed my footage for my short documentary and i am now ready to edit. In my edit i aim to have long slow shots as she is a singer and fast short scenes will not fit the theme.
i have shot the video from two angles on some scenes of he singing and also playing the piano i thought this would look good once i have completed my edit.
When editing i will have to change the sound levels as some footage is louder than others this is because i have shot the video in different locations.
i used the flip HD camera which is a high quailty camera so i want to get the best look from my video as possible by ie. coloring in the footage and also smoothing the image

About The Documentary

My short documentary is about a local singer within Derby and she talks abit about herself along with clips of Lauren singing & also playing the piano, showing off her talents for the documentary. my documentary went to plan as i wanted to do my videos around music as i have a strong passion for music so i merged the two together both media and music.

In my documentary i used a single camera but wanted to add a different look to it so i made it look like two cameras are being used but only one is used.
I added a black and white theme to the camera when its at a different angle to show that it is a different shot that i have used.

Ideas

I want to do a short documentary of a music artist and how they have got to the stage in the music career that they are currently at. I aim to put a mixture of a little interview with achieve footage of the artist. As the documentary is a short one I will not be able to fit in a lot of stuff.

I have an idea to do a short documentary on a boxer, the ideas will be the same as my 1st one as there is not much time to fit in loads of stuff for the documentary i would put a short interview in there mixed up with achieve footage of the boxers fights
