MUSIC VIDEO

For my locations i was thinking to have a high background for example on top of a high building so that within the background you will have a city landscape throughout the video i think this would have great effect, alternately i would use a car park if no other building are available for me to film in this would then be the whole location for the video as we have one in the City Centre (Derby) the car park has loads of places to film in and around it to give the video a more closer together. I carried on thinking where else i could film if my first plan didn't work i thought that i could film the music video inside a forest i think this would be a very interesting project as i haven't filmed in that environment before The track is entitled "fly away' these are the reasons why i have chose these two locations and the locations are hidden and would be good for a music video

The different types of documentaries are ;
Poetic documentary which is a style of documentary which came out in the 1920's, this style of documentary does not concenrete on the continuity editing.

Expository documentary directly speak to the camera so you as the viewer get whats going on and feel more involved with it

Toy Story Toy story is a film that was released in the 90's , this film was successful and went on to makin a number 2 & 3. The target audience for toy story would have to be for the family as a whole, this is because children would not be able to go and watch this movie by themself so therfore they have included humour for the whole family so that the parents do not lose intrest whilst watching the film, By having the toy in the film automatically draws in the younger audience and the adult humour within the film will attract the parents. Pixar then decided to make a following toy story with the same characters plus new exciting chrachters this would automatically draw in a fresh audience to the films but by leaving in the main characters such as Buzz Lightyear & Woody this is a good idea as this will keep the audience from the 1st one Toy story has been labelled as Animation/Adventure & comedy according to the website www.IMDB.com

The fonts used on the front of a film magazine are bold and very eye catching the reasons for this is so that the viewers eye will be lock on to the magazine and draw the attention of the buyer, the colours that are used on the magazine are bright. There is always the main bold tittle with a sub heading underneath it explains what the article is about

Here is short film i have watched and thought was a very good story behind it, the short film is called SHADOW this is a great idea for a short film this has been kept simple but very catchy, it made me want to watch more and find out what was going off

BUMS ON SEAT

The film that i have chosen is kidulhood,the audience for this film has been given an age restriction of 15 but i personally think this film should at least be a 12 as this film has a lot of useful information for the youths that are brought up on the streets and also for people who are not can understand what actually goes on in real life.

The way the producers of this film have interacted with the audience by bring the realness of life in this film, this is a good idea as there are alot of people who can relate to this and its a good way to show people that this stuff really goes on in life and we should not ignore it, and what better way to do it by producing a film that people will be able to watch.

The way this film has been pushed out to an audience by releasing big film posters and also a soundtrack, the sound track features some of the biggest UK aritst in the scence at that time, so this was automatically going to pull in a younger audience straight away as this is the kind of music they would listen to (Rap/Grime) as it is massive in the UK.

The actor that played part in this film was aml ameen who previously made minor apparence in Holby city & Eastenders, Adam deacon who was also a fairly new actor gave the realness to the film as these people were not hollywood stars so i think this was also a good idea as people want to see the real within films.

Advertising played a huge part in this film as they had a couple versions of the trailer, this could be seen on television at the time and also still to this day youtube, Youtube is a great promotinal tool as the videos will always be there so its a constant promotion, also it was uploaded to alot of underground UK websites with a huge fanbase so this was a great success aswell

Week 1:

I recieved my assigment and i have to make a music video, the first thing i am going to do is think of what artist i am going to use and what kind of video i was going to do, once i had came up with a brief idea of what i wanted to do i expressed my ideas to a class mate and asked if he wanted to work on this project together but to do seperate edits after we filmed the footage.

Week 2:
On the second week i was ready to film my music video but i need to arrange a date that was sutable for all of us, so i had a talk with my partner and we agreed that we was avalable for the following thursday as this is a day we wasnt at college, i then contacted my artist who i had previously spoke to about the video shoot and he was intrested and wanted to get involved with the prodcution, also i had agreed to film on top of a car park as this would be a perfect location so we could get the city in the back ground as this was also one of my aims to get a good depth of field.

Week 3:
This is the week we planned to film so we all agreed to meet up in town at a set time , i turnd up on time whilst i was waiting for my partner and also the music artist who was a firther 3 hours late but thi is normal for me as im use to artist being long to film a production, we was filming on two cameras the Canon 600D and also Canon 550D

Week 4:
I was now ready to edit but i only had half a day to do this, so i thought i could get a start on it but forgetting i had to convert the footage which took up the whole morning so i didnt get no editing done in this week but whilst i waited for the footage to convert i looked at some music videos for some more ideas on how i ould edit my final footage

Week 5:
I had the whole of this week to edit but yet again i had a problem as final cut was not woring correctly so i decied to use premiere pro for the first time but i found this program alot better than final cut as you dont have to render every single clip, i got most of music video edited in this week.

Week 6:
finally i had finished my video but i was not really haoppy with it and thought i could do alot better but i had no time to re-do it so i just stuck with what i had , i took the footage home so i could colour the final music video in but had a problem as i did not have the footage editing fileso i had to colour the video as a whole which was not a good idea as some scences are abit too dark.

the reason for music video are fro promotion for the artist because it is more noticable than an audio track so this is a great promotion tool, music videos can be found in loads of places such as on the television , the internet and loads more these are just the main two.

in this video i like the depth of field within the video this is how i aim to film my music video, i just think this give your visuals a much more professional look

here is another video that i have found which is intresting i like the letterbox effect thats been used on top of the video to give it a home movie effect i think i might use this idea in my video depending on how the scences are shot

here is an idea i have.
i want to film inside a studio as i think it has a good effect, this is a freestyle so there is no need to have a story behind the video, i prefer to do music videos for this kind of music as it allows me to use my imagination on my music video

i am looking forward to some of the answers i will get to the question 'What was the last answer you gave to the last question you was asked? ' this is a confusing answer so it will have entertainment within my project.

I am going to ask people one question and see what responses i would get to the question ' What was the last answer you gave to the last question you was asked?' i think this would be very intresting as its confusing question to ask so the hopefully some of the responces will be entertaining.
i decided to use this question as i want his to stand out and make people want to watch it.

The ideas I have to do my micro life in a day is to film everything from start to finish with my flip camera, and then I will be able to pick from more footage because you can never have enough footage as this would make it easier for me to edit also, I will ask the rest of my group what there plans are as this would help me on picking certain things to film so it will all fit in correctly. i want to make it as interesting as i can so i am going to plan something for the day i play to film.

i have decided to do the random filming as i think this would be the best one to go with as it is to short notice to arrange a video shoot for the selected day.

i will use a HD FLIP camera as this would be the best one to use as its nice small and lightweight it is also very light so i would be able to carry this around with me when recording.

The things that i would possibly be doing within this day.

my ideas for this assignment are for me to take the camera out and about with me on what ever i am going to do on that day.
i want my video to be in a point of view position as i do not want to be within my own video.

another idea i have was to take this video down to one of my video shoots and film the day and everything that i have done in the shoot, i think this is a good idea but is not 100% as i dont have video shoots this week but if i was able to arrange one i would be able to do this, i think this would be very interesting as this would be different to anyone else in this class and would fit in with my groups ideas.

I think that this is going to be a hard assignment to plan as on a Thursday I do not have a day at college, therefore I don’t have any set times or anything planned for this day, but this can show u all the different types of life as life isn’t always fun and eventful life can be boring at times and that’s what I am going to show you during this video.
I don’t plan to be in my video I want to be standing behind the camera, as this is where I feel most comfortable.
I am going to take the camera around with me for a bit and see what footage I can pick up and hopefully successfully completing this assigment
