Eija-Liisa Ahtila is a female who is a video artist, she was born in 1959 in Hameenlinna which is in finland. Eija-Liisa Ahtila has previously studied filmmaking at the London College of Printing,
UCLA, and then went on to the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. In the early 90s she
received the Young Artist of the Year Award, in Tampere, Finland. Since collecting her 1st award she has go on to received numerous grants
and awards, she won an AVEK-award for important achievements in the
field of audio-visual culture (1997) which she was very proud about , the Edstrand Art Price (1998), a
DAAD fellowship (1999), honorary mention at the 48th Venice Biennale
(1999), the Vincent Van Gogh Bi-annual Award for Contemporary Art in
Europe (2000), and a five-year grant from the Central Committee for the
Arts (2001), as well as the Artes Mundi Prize (2006). Most recently she
was awarded the Prince Eugen Medal for outstanding artistic achievement
(2009). She has participated in Documenta XI (2002) and the 50th Venice
Biennale (2005). Within he work she has her own style and will mainly focus on showing women going through traumatic experiences as this will tend too keep the viewers shocked and confused of whats happening this then helps her to bring in a croud to view her work as they want to know what her works about and had a strong emotional impact on her viewers
Matthew Barney is a video artist who was born in San Fransisco in the United States on the 25th march 1967, Matthew Barney has allot a surreal images within his art work he uses his experiences from sports within his work as he was nearly a football player in 1985 when he was recruited by the Yale University, as well as puttin Restraint on muscles affect and
shapes within his own work. Barney will always tend to use his own body for his artwork.

Elizabeth Price is a video artist who was born in Bradford, england in the year 1966 she was originally part of an indie pop band called 'Talulah Gosh' in the year 1986 always having a passion for art she then later went on to be nominated fr the turner prize in the year 2012 she had entered a various exhibition between the years 2001 - present, she told the people that it takes her a year to create and complete her work as she use digital video to try and explore the divergent forces that are at play when you bring so many different technological histories together... I’m interested in the medium of video as something you experience sensually as well as something you might recognise.
