A tape is not needed, the camera i am using has a SD memory card slot.

The transport i will be using will be a car to get to different areas as all the videos will be all around Derby, Leicester , London so that will be the only way to travel as train or other transport would cost to much.

Accommodation will be my own house after each day of filming i will return back home.

Editing Time:
To edit my advertisement i would say it would take about 1 - 2 hours as editing is the easier bit of the assignment also enjoy the editing part.

This is not my final version this is what i aim to have it look like the writing that i have put over the footage is what i want to narrated over the top this will give it more of a professional feel the editing will also be alot more sharper.

I also look to add transitions towards the footage this will make it eye catching not decided what i will use just yet but i will try a few of them and pick which one i think looks better, i am also getting a piece of music specially made for my advert

This advert was banned from television as it was promotiong gun violence. people running around a train station pretending to shoot one another shouting the word 'BANG' you can understand why this advert was banned

I like how its got gameplay footage within the advertisment this is giving you a little teaser of what you could be having.
The target audience for the fifa 10 advert would be to anyone who enjoys football games, the game was release on the 2nd of october in europe, this is around christmas time so it would be brought for gifts for th holidays

Even though this is a music video this has gave me inspiration and ideas for my advert.
i like the way that the lyrics are mimed by other people and not just the artist.
i want my advert to be similar to this but with my own unique style aswell.

The location for my advert will not be planned because it will be filmed there and then. as i am goin to get loads of different people in different areas

To shoot my video it would take 1-2 days due to having to film various people shouting out TooHardForTV

I want to do a advert similar to this but instead of using SB.TV i will use my own channel TooHardForTV using ideas from this advert i will build on it but put all  my own footage and music within the sequence

Idea 2

This advert has more of a stronger meaning towards people this advert isnt for someone to be entertained its to make people aware of the risks of driving a car and crossing the road.
i want my advert to have a strong meaing within it but at the same time easily understandable, my target audience for this advert would be for all ages as it relates to everyone.

Pros.
The pros for this video are that i dont have to get footage of a car hitting someone at speed as this would not be suitble there are many different ways to do it as this advert below shows.

This is a collection of some of the Tango adverts this is one of the reasons why i want to do a tango advert as these adverts are completely random which gives the viewer entertainment and cn also be a talking point of somebodies day speaking abot how random the adverts are that tango produce

Ideas for advertisment.

My first idea for my 30 second advertisment i want to do a tango advert as i think the tango adverts are good and creative, so i will use my imagination during this advert. i wanted to do something different as ive previously seen loads of coca cola advert been made.

My second idea would be a mcdonalds advert as i was watchin television and it gave me an idea of how to do the advert to make it look good and i think this would be a successful advert.

Risk Assesment

A risk assesment was not needed for my production as it was in an open space and where no risk within the building that would possible stop me from filming.

I recorded lauren today, i got more footage than i actually used within my short documentary i got footage of lauren singing & also playing the piano, the extra footage that i had was lauren dancing but i decided not to put this in as i wanted to keep the documentary on the same genre 'Music'.

I finished filming my documentary and have also finshed editing in the same day, i am happy with my outcome as it all came to plan, i set myself a deadline for when i wanted to film and edit all my footage and this worked as the project was handed in before the official deadline

The audience for my documentary would not necessarily be a certain age but anyone who is interested in good music or for someone who personally knows lauren and would like to watch it.


What is it about?
My documentary is about a local music artist who is a singer/songwriter from derby, it will show you clips of her showing of her talents and also broken down interviews with Lauren

Shooting Days:
To film my documentary it would only take around an hour as its not going to be a full featured documentary its only a short 3 minute video

The film I have chosen is Kidulthood; Kidulthood is a British film that was release in the year 2006. It was written by Noel Clarke and directed by Menhaj Huda who originally started of making Bangladeshi films. It’s a film where we follow 3 teenage boys and all of there are different and all have there own mini storys that string of the main story this is a good way to set out a drama as its more entertaining

The genre of the film kidulthood is a Drama/comedy but has slight anti social behavior, violence, sexual content & drug scenes within the film, the reason why this is a drama is because we follow the life of Trife (played by actor Aml Ameen) and his friends Mooney (played by actor Femi Oyeniran) & Jay (played by actor Adam Deacon) this film is also a comedy as it also has a funny side to it but keeps on track of a serious storyline

The iconography and conventions in this film are good as it shows real emotion behind the storyline. This film has one main story so its easy to understand that it’s a drama because of the way the film is set out, as it starts of not letting out to much information but the more u go into the film you start to understand it more and the reasons why there doing the things there doing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bZa2efcNqk&feature=related this is a scene from the 2006 film kidulthood, this is one of my favorite scenes because of the way its shot from the time 0:00 – 0:06 the camera has focused on a mother and child trough a mirror as Trife has a baby on the way but isn’t with his baby mother, it the focuses back out on to trife and show  mid shot of his emotions this is shot differently because normally films will do a close up shot of the face to show the emotions within the character, the lighting within this shot is well lit as you are able to see everything that’s going on within the shot of the film, the light is continuous and is the same shade throughout the whole scene. The scene desnt really have an awful lot of shots its kept basic and simple as there is no need for them to have loads of different shots within this scene

His film is non linear as it has flashbacks throughout the film this is a good way for a drama film as you get to find out what’s happened before and what the movie will not show in full detail it gives you the idea to how there life’s are, at the end of the film when trife is dying after being hit with a baseball bat in his stomach hi whole life flashes in front of him, all of the footage that he’s in within the film.

Overall this is one of my personal favorite and think that this is one of the best dram films to come out of the United Kingdom

Reflective Writing Practice

This situation can occur on a regular basis, the things that i will learn from this is if i know the people are going to be late make sure i have set up my set properly and test out everything so that the footage is usable so i wouldn't have to leave it to the last minute to think about it. I should book the studio for an hour extra than the time i need so that everything can get finalized.

My Final Version ( A Day With Lauren Faith )

This is my final version of my short documentary.
The documentary is entitled ' A Day With Lauren Faith' simply because i spent the day with up and coming singer/songwriter Lauren Faith.

In this video you will see a series of clips starting with a short introduction followed by interview and also achieve footage of Lauren's 'Talent'.

Editing

I have filmed my footage for my short documentary and i am now ready to edit. In my edit i aim to have long slow shots as she is a singer and fast short scenes will not fit the theme.
i have shot the video from two angles on some scenes of he singing and also playing the piano i thought this would look good once i have completed my edit.
When editing i will have to change the sound levels as some footage is louder than others this is because i have shot the video in different locations.
i used the flip HD camera which is a high quailty camera so i want to get the best look from my video as possible by ie. coloring in the footage and also smoothing the image

About The Documentary

My short documentary is about a local singer within Derby and she talks abit about herself along with clips of Lauren singing & also playing the piano, showing off her talents for the documentary. my documentary went to plan as i wanted to do my videos around music as i have a strong passion for music so i merged the two together both media and music.

In my documentary i used a single camera but wanted to add a different look to it so i made it look like two cameras are being used but only one is used.
I added a black and white theme to the camera when its at a different angle to show that it is a different shot that i have used.

Ideas

I want to do a short documentary of a music artist and how they have got to the stage in the music career that they are currently at. I aim to put a mixture of a little interview with achieve footage of the artist. As the documentary is a short one I will not be able to fit in a lot of stuff.

I have an idea to do a short documentary on a boxer, the ideas will be the same as my 1st one as there is not much time to fit in loads of stuff for the documentary i would put a short interview in there mixed up with achieve footage of the boxers fights

Research of Haiku

What is Haiku?
Haikuis a form of riddle which has a syllables pattern eg. 5 syllables 7 syllables and the ending it with 5 syllables.

I was given an assignment to do which involved me to film a short 1-2 minute, documentary-style video showing something local.

I decided to show my hobbie to people, which is a local youtube channel entitled TooHardForTV. ToohardforTV was created by myself and aimed to broadcast all the local musical talent within the Derby area, but soon expanded out of the city.

The things that i found difficult with this assignment was the time we where given.We was given 1 week to complete this, so i decided to plan ahead and complete all my production documents as fast as i could but still putting detail and what is needed in my documents.

The music that i will be using for my short video will be personally made for this video, the reasons for this is because of copyrights & also i wanted to add something different towards the video

The instrumentals i will be using will be a mix between the two below, a fast up beat grime instrumental so it will go with the pace.
The reasons for using a [Grime] instrumental is because the sort of footage that will be in the video will be speeded up and grime is a fast genre of music.

This is my storyboard, the reason for not many shot is that the shots will be the same as the ones labelled above.

The camera that i am using does not need to tape as it has internal memory already on the camera. The camera that i will be using is a HD Flip camera which is a good quality camera

To complete my final version of this it would take me about 1 hour to edit, this will include cutting, effects & transitions. i know the software very well so i understand how to use it, the software that i use is Sony Vegas 10 on Windows , the program is one of the easiest to use so it will not take as long to edit.

Special Equipment:

Special Equipment is not needed, as i am going to be holding the camera free hand for the effect that is needed.

Crewing:

I dont need no crew to help me film as this is just a one man job, there is no help needed as there is nothing else that needs doing other than using the camera.

My work will only have footage & audio that i have full rights too.

Developing my idea

I aim to make this different to my previous one that i have done before.
this one will be improved as i now have a better quality camera and have learnt more about editing.


The things that i will change from the last one i have done i will use a different style off editing, meaning i will cut the footage to the background beat so everything sounds neat and on point

My ideas for this assignment would be to film short clips of my day to day life
i think this would work because everything i film will be relevent towards myself and what i put in my project are personal to me, i then can feel more relaxed when doing my project as everything i film is down to myself.

I also was planning of doing a mini project on my favourite sport football as when i was growing up i loved playing football so i think this is a good idea the footage would be of all the fun bits in football such as the skills and great goals here is a video that has the same content as i plan to have with a few differences as my will not be in a massive stadium with top players. also the shot that i pan to use will be more close to the person so it feels more personal.

This video entitled ' Where I Grew Up' is a short film around 1.46 which includes different moving images of different local landscapes, the things that i like about this is that its split up in to different section as it starts off with his childhood imagery which then turns in to religious imagery ect.

1st Assignment (Production Log)

My 1st assignment was to make a short 1-2 minute documentary which has to have something local towards myself, this can be anything that is around me and is exclusive to myself.
