Walt Disney has been the controversy concering rasism within the Disney film, people say this is because walt Disney the man himself was a racist himself so this was also shown within his work

Disney Princess and the frog

In disneys film the princess and the frog has been labeled as rasict not just the movie itself but also the products that are being sold within the market, Disney then went on to make some candy in the United States that caused more suspision of rasism as they went and put the black princess flavour as “watermelon’ and then putting the white princess on the ‘vanilla’ flavour

 Watermelon stereotype began in America in the 19^th century and still to this day in the 21^st century it is still an American sterotype of African americans

When Tiana(the black princess) kisses the frog instead of him turning into a prince she turns into a frog herself which they then go & set out to find a voodoo specialist which is also another subliminal message

theres was another problem within the film 'The Princess and The Frog' the straight fact that the prince was a white male & not a black male, so the argument made is that a black male should of been the prince the messages behind this is that black love is not possible or even if thats not the case then the fact that it wouldnt be aloud to be shown on television but the main things is to say that a black male could never become a prince himself

the UK have race relations act 1976 was to stop the race discrimination in a work place/film.
